Is Elon Musk confused?

Elon Musk

Elon Musk introduced restrictions on Twitter with a new update.

Twitter, a social media platform with millions of users worldwide, made headlines with a new regulation announced by its owner, Elon Musk. Musk stated that he aimed to prevent excessive data scraping and system manipulation by setting limits on users’ tweet reading.

Twitter announced the restriction.

Musk announced the restrictions on his own Twitter account, stating, “We have implemented the following temporary limits to address levels of excessive data scraping and system manipulation. Verified accounts can view 6,000 tweets per day, unverified accounts can view 600 tweets per day, and new and unverified accounts can view 300 tweets per day.”

As you read this news, Elon Musk tweeted twice more, announcing some updates.

In his first message, he wrote that Verified Accounts have a viewing limit of 8,000, Unverified accounts have a limit of 800, and new accounts have a limit of 400.

In the second message, as a response to his own message above, he announced a new update: “Currently, Verified Accounts have a viewing limit of 10,000, Unverified accounts have a limit of 1,000, and new accounts have a limit of 500.”

Elon Musk is indecisive

A total of three announcements were made about the restriction on Twitter throughout the day. There was a time gap of 4-6 hours between each announcement. This suggests that Elon Musk is confused, and these updates could potentially decrease the monetary value of Twitter.

Should the Twitter CEO step down?

Last December, Elon Musk started a poll on Twitter about whether he should step down as the CEO of Twitter. More than 17 million people participated in the poll, with 57.5% of participants choosing the “yes” option. Musk commented on the result through his official Twitter account, saying, “As soon as we find someone dumb enough to take the job, I will step down as CEO! After that, I will only manage the software and server teams.”

Twitter’s value declined with Elon Musk

Elon Musk, the richest person in the world, acquired the Twitter platform for $44 billion in April 2022. It is claimed that after the acquisition, the value of the Twitter platform dropped to $20 billion. Successful businessman Elon Musk is also frequently accused of manipulating Bitcoin.
